Cell-free biosynthesis is the design and engineering of multi-enzyme pathways for the synthesis of bioproducts. We have utilized the technology to generate a platform for the efficient and scalable production of activated sugars. Building on that, we are engineering biocatalysts to produce complex human milk oligosaccharides and tailor the glycosylation of therapeutic proteins.
