Bacterial α-1,6-fucosidase (α1,6Fuc) expressed in E. coli for the defucosylation of glycans. On free N-glycans the enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of the core α-1,6-fucose from Man3F, with limited activity on complex glycans. On glycoproteins it cleaves α-1,6-fucose linked to GlcNAc residues, e.g. on IgG, with limited activity and yield. The enzyme has no activity on glycoproteins with complex or mannosylated glycans.
